I grew up with a mother that loved dogs and it rubbed off on me. When I was 19, I went to a dog race in Sisters, Oregon and fell in love with the husky. I met a family from Montana and the man Jack Haker was going to run the Iditarod Dog Sled race the next year and asked me to come help him train. I've never left the state of Montana . I love it. From working with him, I've started my own pet food distribution company to building over 350 dog sleds for racers and for teams that have won major races in the US and Canada. I also raced dogs myself along with my wife Lori and son Joshua and we all won many races and competed against the best in the world at racing.

We built up a distributor company named Northwind Feed, and eventually sold to Phillips Distribution  in 2017. After awhile, I got many phone calls from stores and folks I knew, saying why is Ammamaet discontinuing this formula and other questions revolving good quality pet food . 

I felt it as a opportunity to get back in the business and supply you stores with what you wanted that best served their customers need.

When you compete with dogs, you really realize the importance of good nutrition. I would always try to feed the best I could get, always during, before, and after races. This is why I started Pet Food Express, to bring the highest quality products to your animals at home.
